“G MiMs immersion into the roots of Hip-Hop go much further than his pops, DJ Red Alert. It's clear that he's taken notes on the game from some of the greats before him and he's ready to blaze new paths for those to follow behind him. Don't sleep."

- Bryan Hann, The Source Magazine

“This G MiMs joint [Been G] goes hard in New York — [it’s ] heavy in Harlem and cranks on the radio.”

- Funk Flex, Hot 97

Someone has been feasting on classic hip-hop stanzas; G MiMs has bars and he’s heating things up. Growing up engulfed in Hip-Hop music and culture has helped him to create music; with unique balance between, new school flows, and classic old school substance. Hailing from the concrete jungle of Harlem, New York, George MiMs III discovered at a young age that he was a lyricist at heart. In the eighth grade, G MiMs would submit his writing reports in rhyme schemes based on the presented literature, instead of following the required essay format. Shortly after high school, the multi-talented rapper played A-10 Division 1 basketball for Saint Bonaventure University. The rising star chose his undeniable talent for recording and performing music on stage over his love for basketball. It comes as no surprise that G Mims spits flames.

G MiMs was featured on Sway in The Morning and noted for "killing" the “Friday Fire Cypher”. Most recently, G MiMs was featured in January, as an Artist on the Hot 97 “Who’s Next” Platform. This forum continues to provide growing acclaim for his singles "Money & All" and "Been G"; released through Tommy Boy Entertainment.
